NSALE 2020

I feel like at this point most of us are already aware of the yearly Nordstrom Sale. It that yearly sale where all of the brand new merchandise for the 2020 Fall season is released and heavily discounted (even as much as 40% off). For those of us who have been locked up in quarantine, this is the shopping spree we have been waiting for. In this post I am going to share my must-have items, as well as tips for shopping the NSALE so you have a better change of getting those hot items.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Set a budget and stick to it. It is so easy to get carried away and throw everything into your cart because, well “it’s on sale!” To manage your budget, set a limit, compare your wishlist items and when they are similar, pick the one that you prefer. Once you set a budget, stick to it!
  2. The preview is already available, so save your must have items first. Go through all of the items you think you may be interested in, and save them to your cart. Then you can prioritize them in order of what is your must have down to what is just a nice to have. An easy way to do this is to do number 3 when the sale starts.
  3. Open multiple tabs, one for each item. This allows you to prioritize your tabs based on what you want the most. It also allows you to refresh the page if you are checking for more sizes or colors to be available. It also allows you to add items to your cart as you shop.
  4. If you find something you want, buy it immediately. Things sell out faster than the first 7 months of 2020. To make sure you get the items on your wish list, don’t wait for your cart to fill up. Add your top few items and then checkout. You can always add more items after when you continue to shop. Moral of the story is, checkout frequently!

My Must Haves

Everyday

I went through everything and tried to narrow it down to my top everyday items. This sweater and faux leather leggings were huge last year, and are going to continue to be hits for 2020!

Some of my other favorite items are classic staples for everyday. If you have been wanting a good cashmere sweater, this one is an incredible deal. Also, for those of you who are going into the office or who have professional conference calls, this top was at the top of my workwear wish list. I’ve been wanting to pick up one of these plaid shirts for years, and finally decided it was time to try it! Also, this hoodie is perfect for Colorado casual attire, and can be worn with leggings or jeans. Finally, with all of the work from home, I wanted to finally pick up the softest Barefoot Dreams cardigan.

Activewear

For some of us, athleisure has become an everyday item. Living in Colorado, that has always been the norm, but I find myself loving to wear activewear for running errands as well as workouts.

I’ve been looking for a pair of everyday joggers, and I have been eyeing these for a while. Those joggers paired with this jacket and this crop top are the perfect athleisure outfit. Living in Colorado, I also love these sweater-like jackets for venturing outside. You can never go wrong with some new activewear!

Accessories/Shoes

Accessories are important to bring any look together. I actually wore these ear crawlers at my wedding, and they are a must-have for me. I have them in all three colors. This necklace has been on my wish list for the last couple of years, and it’s a great deal so I had to pick it up! I have a lot of hats already, so I narrowed it down to this panama hat for the 202 fall season.

Sunglasses are a must-have for me. I don’t discriminate between cheaper sunglasses and designer, so I have both on my list this year. These are more budget friendly, while this pair and this pair are amazing designer deals.

I feel like I normally go shoe crazy during the NSALE, but this year I only have a couple must-haves. Casual booties like these are my number 1 go-to (and I picked them up in 3 colors). We get a lot of snow, so I also love that these booties are warm and stylish at the same time. Last year I picked up my first pair of Stuart Weitzman boots, and I do not regret it one bit! Finally, a classic pair of slip-ons is always a good idea, and I loved the neutral color!

Beauty

If you’re like me, you haven’t been wearing very much makeup lately. However, it’s still important to take care of your skin and hair. This is why I am going to stock up on some of the best hair products to keep my hair looking fresh and healthy even between washes.

Since I have been postponing beauty treatments, I’ve instead been testing out at-home care. This is why I am picking up the PMD Pro device, which is an at-home microdermabrasion system. I also restock on jumbo hair care about once a year, and so I picked up this shampoo and this conditioner. They always get amazing reviews. Finally, now that I’m working from home, I have been relying a lot more on dry shampoo, and this one is one of the best if you can snag it on sale (and jumbo size)!

There were so many great items this year, but I tried to take my own advice and stick to my budget. I have a few other items on my wishlist, and I am just waiting to see if they show as back in stock. I can’t wait to see what your choices will be. Happy Shopping!
